Bet you thought we were done with Turkish treats but guess what!? It’s another Turkish treat from my @turkishtreat box.
This time we are looking at the Tofita – çilek. On the packaging it claims to be “çilek aromalı meyve toffe şeker” which having broken the sentence down into it’s component parts, seems to translate as:
This morning I took my coffee out onto the deck and tripped over a package. It was about the size of a paving stone and it broke 3 of my toes. I tried to take it inside, but after several attempts I collapsed exhausted and drenched in sweat. I am pretty strong and I ate that protein bar that one time a while back, but this sh1t was heavy!
Last week whilst scrolling through my Instagram feed I saw several food review accounts writing about this sh1t and saw some brought to an euphoric frenzy, the likes of which I had never seen M&M’s invoke in folk before
I have a feeling that I have tried sh1t like this before, only last time was many moons ago and it was known as a “Wagon Wheel” Except wasn’t there jam in those? 🤔 Now we also know that a Wagon Wheel is called a “Halley” in Turkey.
Do you like pineapple? Too bad. Pascall has taken that pineapple sh1t from out the middle of the Pineapple Lumps and chucked that sh1t in the bin. Don’t worry they have concocted some type of L&P chewy sh1t to substitute.
got a big surprise when I opened this sh1t up. Each tiny puffed biscuit looking thing had a mystical symbol printed on it. Fun! This was going to be just like that time I worked as a druid over summer and had to cast and interpret runes for the tourists.
s my mastery of the Turkish language continues to advance, I ran into a real dead end with this one. I cannot find any decent translation of either “Yupo” or “Çokojelo”.

For me it will always be the sweeping majestic sour patches that Turkey is famous for. Turkey has the finest climate in the world for sour patches and some of the first recorded sour patch sightings were dictated by Alexander the Great when he first set eyes upon the patches that dotted the area around 334 BC:
