Domino’s – Meltzz

Dominos Meltzz in box

After the incident with the loaded fries, never know when a squall is going to hit, I needed a feed that could be eaten ‘on the move’ and it looks like Dominos might have introduced the perfect thing: the Dominos meltzz. I saw an advertisement depicting some woman eating this while skateboarding at a beach or some sh1t. Sounds perfect.

It is called the Meltzz – with 2 ‘z’s’ for that alternative spelling branding win – and there are several flavours to choose from. I went with the pepperoni, but you could have chosen butter chicken, vegorama(what!!?), 3 meats (also what?! What are the 3 meats?) or ham and cheese.
Edit: Suddenly there is a Greek Lamb Tzatziki one on the menu too! 😲

Opening the cute little pentangular box, I saw two envelopes of what appears to be a thin crust pizza, with the toppings all hidden inside. Looks pretty much like a giant single slice of pizza folded in half.

I unfolded it, which actually took a bit of effort because it was all melted together and peered at the secrets within and… ugh… . I am just going to fold it back up and pretend I didn’t look.

Domino s Meltzz - Inside

I headed to the skate ramp in order to test the claims implied during the advertisement and indeed, the folded design means that the topping was held firmly in place even while performing a Gazelle Underflip into 360 pivot varial pretzel.

Tasted pretty good, surprisingly – pretty much like buying pizza by the slice, tbh. I got 2 of these in the box and that amount is decent for a snack or a small lunch if you don’t have time to nap off the standard large pizza.

It’s fine and all, but I can’t help but feel like I may have been better off getting a Thin n’ Crispy crust pizza and folding 2 slices together.
