Solen – Papita

Really scraping the bottom of the @turkishtreatbox now, but I still could feel a few treats in there as I blindly felt about and eventually pulled forth the Papita, like Arthur Pendragon drawing a sword from stone.

I held aloft the Papita and swore an oath, but nothing happened. You sometimes have to try sh1t like that just in case something cool occurs. I was hoping I would be inaugurated king of Instagram or something, but nope, nothing. Ah well, I still have a treat to eat and this one has brightly coloured balls of sh1t all upons, so could be a fun one.

I have no idea if ‘Papita’ has any other meaning in the Turkish language, but this time, ‘Papita’ is defined (From the manufacturers website) as:

“Milk-Chocolate-Coated-Biscuit-with-Milk-Cream-and-Dragee-Candies”

This sh1t doesn’t really look “Milk-Chocolate-Coated” (or even enrobed) to me, if I had to describe it I would say: “Milk-Chocolate-Entrenched”. But forget that, what the sh1t is a “Dragee-Candy”?

You folk heard of ‘dragee’ before? Apparently it is pretty commonly known that “dragee” is actually a ball of sh1t coated in a hard outer shell. This chocolate biscuit bar had dragees of milk chocolate enrobed in a hard outer shell of candy, like m&m’s only smaller. Degrees are often used as a way to preserve and protect the inner sh1t from damage during shipping and M&M’s were actually designed as a dragee initially to allow easy transport and consumption of chocolate for the U.S. military. Quite a few of the shells on my Papita had broken on their trip from Turkey, but everything tasted perfectly alright and I didn’t die horribly.

This tasted alright. The base, usually the most boring part of the snack, had great texture, a little crunchy and a little flakey. The chocolate ‘coating’ did have a decent chocolate flavour, but was a little sweet for my taste when combined with that sugary cream. Degrees were a nice crunchy addition, but by themselves were just, as I said, like mini M&M’s.

Bonus sh1t: Them Mentos from last post are also considered to be dragees.

3 dragees of separation – 6/10
