Speaking of pineapple l̶u̶m̶p̶s̶ chunks – chunks does sound more appetizing anyway…
Here is the new squiggles flavour, pineapple chunks Squiggles.
It looks like we have been cordially invited to a party, because this product says on the front that there is a perfect pineapple party in every chewy, chocolatey bite. I better get on my best duds – damn, duds? Really? Where did I even get that word from? When was the last time anyone wore duds?
Anyhow, it has been a good while since I have attended a perfect pineapple party. I got carried away last time. I’m serious- it was so wild, they literally had to carry me away. But also it was perfect.
I can’t help but wonder how these squiggles are going to be able to deliver on the chaotic festivities of an actually perfect pineapple party, but let’s give them the chance.
This is basically a Squiggles biscuit with yellow squiggles on top and some sort of yellow cream inside.
The chocolate is smooth and whatever that ‘cream of pineapple’ looking sh1t combines well with it to make a delicious mouthful reminiscent, but distinctly different to other pineapple chunk style chocolate confectionery that you may have tried in the past.
There is a nice contrasting crunch from the biscuit base and the ‘chunks’ are a kind of waxy dry shard that softens up and becomes chewy. That sounds horrible, sorry – but they are really pleasant to chew and taste great.
The flavour impressed me with it’s accuracy, actually tastes like a tropical pineapple, rather than generic sweet yellow. I was reminded somewhat of the pineapple Fruju flavour actually. Pineapple Crush I think it is called, to be completely accurate. What am I saying? Yeah, so flavour is actually perfectly accurate, just like the Fruju, which is well known for its flavour accuracy. I don’t know – sh1t tastes like pineapple.
These are super sweet, but delicious and I was easily able to eat an entire packet.
