Checking a few of the older entries in my sh1tbook, I came across the Oreo – Frozen Oreo Cookie Sandwich with Oreo Biscuit Pieces.
I looked everywhere for the Frozen Oreo Cookie Sandwich with Oreo Biscuit Pieces after @vace_da_artist first recommended this shit and just as I became ready to accept defeat, there it was sitting defiantly at the back of my local supermarket freezer – the Frozen Oreo Cookie Sandwich with Oreo Biscuit Pieces.
Frozen Oreo Cookie Sandwich with Oreo Biscuit Pieces are based on the popular Oreo Cookie Sandwich, only they have Frozen the Oreo Cookie Sandwich and added Oreo Biscuit Pieces.
I normally like to respect the names of the product as food companies spend huge sums of money hiring marketing people and paying for focus groups and maybe throwing a psychologist or two into the mix, to get the perfectly marketable name. I really can’t get behind their choice here though. It lacks imagination. Plus I can’t be writing Oreo – Frozen Oreo Cookie Sandwich with Oreo Biscuit Pieces everytime I want to refer to this shit. So in the interest of actually being able to include some review in the limited caption space Instagram gives us, I will now refer to them as FOCSOBP.
The focsobp box was a bit mangled from being bashed about in the back of the freezer, so I was a bit worried about how photogenic the focsobps would be when I took them out of the packet, but as you can see they held up very nicely, you would think these would fall apart as you eat them too, but no, surprisingly robust.
The cookie part of the focsobp tasted very much like an Oreo biscuit, but was soft and chewy, a bit like fudge. It was as though it had absorbed the ice cream and dried out into the perfect texture. The ice cream itself was decent, but it’s best feature was how it complimented the cookie. It also had little brown flecks all through it, which I assume was Oreo biscuit pieces. The focsobp really hit the spot on a muggy evening.
