This little donut, nicknamed the Caromeeco, went through a lot to get all the way to Auckland from Romeeco Bakery on George St. in Dunedin so you will have to excuse the jet lag apparent in the picture.
Nevertheless, sinking my teeth into this shit was amazing. The icing was excellent, it actually tasted of real caramel, and was as sweet and sticky as one could want of a donut icing. The dough of the donut was above reproach, soft and fluffy with a slight chewiness that gave it the perfect texture. I can only imagine what it would’ve been like if it was fresh.

How many of you out there have already been to Romeeco Bakery on George St. in Dunedin? Ever tried the Caramel donut?
